It's January 2011, a time for people to get excited about the new year, a new start, and new opportunities. So what's in store for you?
We take stock in our lives as to where we have been and where we are going. Were we happy, did we accomplish what we wanted, did we make others happy? Were we productive? Did we make enough income to support our families?
Some of us PUSH THE WHEEL. We work very hard at our jobs, sometimes long hours feeling unfulfilled. Are we making enough money for the time and work we put in? Does our employer appreciate our efforts? is this what I want to do the rest of my life? Do we want to continue working long hours and have less time to enjoy family?
Are we so busy fulfilling the needs of our adult children and grandchildren that we realize we have little time to enjoy our lives?
And students; are they working hard at their studies? Do they see little success in their grades?
All of us are PUSHING THE WHEEL doing whatever we have to every day of every week. We have to ask ourselves, is it time to get off the wheel? There are many fortunate people who have pushed the wheel and have seen success and are truly happy. In that case, stay on the wheel and keep pushing.
Hopefully the job market will open up in 2011 to make it easier for those to get off the wheel and try something else. Another wheel may roll down the path to a better life. Perhaps invent another path to push the wheel and help the economy in doing so. This is the time to start doing something you dreamed about before it is too late.
The college student who works hard without success, should evaluate his situation and realize it is not because of him/her, it is because they are on the wrong wheel. Get off that wheel and change your major. I have a cousin who was on probation in college and was given another semester or he would be out. He changed his major and became a world renowned success.
If you are unhappy with your lifestyle, routine, work, whatever, this is the time to try another direction. The wheel is what you are pushing. Get off!
Lets hope for a better economy and more jobs.
Good luck!

JAYCEE DUGARD'S REAL PHOTO AS REPORTED IN THE NEW ISSUE OF PEOPLE MAGAZINE COMING OUT THIS FRIDAY
Looking at her picture on the cover of People magazine was amazing. She is beautiful. She looks just like her beautiful mother when she was first kidnapped. Her mother was on National TV pleading the return of her daughter.
I have longed to see how Jaycee and her daughters look today. Finally we get a chance to see her.. I cannot wait to buy the next issue of People magazine this Friday. I hope to see more pictures of Jaycee and her daughters, and to read more about her experience. See her recent picture below.
Dugard, now 29, tells People magazine she's "so happy to be back with my family" after being reunited Aug. 27. People published the photo and comments from Dugard in its Wednesday issue.
Dugard is living with her mother, Terry Probyn, 50, and two daughters — Angel, 15, and Starlit, 11 — fathered by her alleged kidnapper, Phillip Garrido. Authorities say Dugard and her daughters lived in a hidden encampment of sheds and tents in Garrido's backyard.
Garrido and his wife, Nancy, have been charged with kidnapping and rape in Dugard's 1991 disappearance outside her South Lake Tahoe home. The Garridos have pleaded not guilty.
Family spokeswoman Erika Shulte told NBC's "Today" show on Wednesday that Dugard decided to release photos to People magazine as a way to "share her joy with the world" and show how well she's doing.
Shulte said Dugard has formed a very close bond with her sister, Shana, who was just a baby when Dugard was kidnapped. Dugard, her two daughters, mother and sister are close, comfortable and happy and says they "seem like any other family."
Dugard told People she rides horses, cooks meals and is thinking of collaborating on a book.
I need your opinion. Here is a beautiful young woman. She had access to the telephone, internet, neighbors and business clients. She knew she had a family and I am sure she knew where she lived. Why didn't she escape or at least call home?

Thank you

PUSH THE WHEEL
PUSH THE WHEEL
August 14th, 2009BLOG 1
I remember a movie I watched when I was a little girl. I would like you to research it. It was a movie I think older than me. It was about a prison camp or mental hospital. The patients were in a dungeon about 12 of them pushing a wheel all day long going nowhere. There were others laying on the floor exhausted pushing the wheel. How can we find the name of that movie?
I said to myself as a young child.. “what a waste and time doing nothing and getting nothing accomplished but wearing themselves out.”
As I observed life and people, I took note of how people work. Some were very successful but were workaholics. They pushed the wheel and saw success, however they lost their relationships with families because they were too busy PUSHING THE WHEEL.
For students it is the same wheel. They study, study for fear of low grades. They fear they wont be accepted into schools or societies. For them they are afraid of diversion like sports, theatre or other hobbies. Some kids take medication so they can perform better at the wheel. Do these kids burn out? Do people burn out? Sometimes, maybe never. Some do better by adding other activities in their life to avoid the burnout and perhaps help them perform better, thinking better and so on
Others, however, PUSH THE WHEEL for the same reasons, to gain success and do what they know best. They pushed and pushed, while indeed keeping their relationships with family and friends. In this case nothing ever happens. They run into debt, their savings are depleted. They are tired of pushing, and fear the worst.
As for students the same thing applies. They study hard and see little success. They try diversions but still the fear of failure. Thus the burnout starts. Perhaps school is not for them. Perhaps it is a waste of time. PUSHING THE WHEEL is a waste one might think. But in this case PUSHING THE WHEEL can be a challenge. They are young enough not to waste time. They have a goal and that wheel is very important. Without that push there is no goal. With no goal there is no push.
In this blog, we shall discover ways to overcome the fear and start pushing in different directions that will make us happy.
Do you PUSH THE WHEEL? Tell us your thoughts
